The hold-up stems from an interim court order linked to a rights conflict with B4U

Dubai: Actor Chiyaan Vikram’s much-awaited Tamil action thriller Veera Dheera Sooran has reportedly hit an unexpected roadblock in India. A legal dispute has delayed the film’s theatrical release across India until 10:30 a.m. on Friday, March 27.
The hold-up stems from an interim court order linked to a rights conflict involving B4U Entertainment, the company that owns the film’s digital and satellite distribution rights.
According to Telangana Today, this dispute has already had ripple effects. Leading cinema chains such as PVR and Cinepolis pulled early screenings in cities like Bengaluru, while international markets, particularly the United States, saw all premiere shows abruptly cancelled.
The sudden overseas cancellation has upset distributors, many of whom had already paid in full and are now scrambling to manage refunds and reschedule releases.
Varun, co-founder of Tendkotta and founder of SJ Cinemas, voiced his frustration on social media, pointing out that such setbacks disproportionately affect Tamil releases. “Don’t announce release dates if you can’t sort out the financial issues,” he tweeted, adding that he feels sorry for distributors caught in the fallout.
Directed by S.U. Arun Kumar and produced by Riya Shibu under HR Pictures, Veera Dheera Sooran features a powerful ensemble cast including Vikram, S.J. Suryah, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Dushara Vijayan, and Siddique.
