Hollywood actor Taylor Lautner has finally acknowledged the viral “What Haffen, Vella?” trend that has taken over TikTok and other social media platforms.

In a recent TikTok post featuring his wife, Taylor Dome, the "Twilight" star playfully responded to a comment from a Filipino user asking for his reaction to the popular 'trend'.

“Bro noticing everything except What Hafen Vela trend,” a TikTok user commented.

Taylor then replied, saying: “Yup, but it’s not your fault, it’s mine.”

The phrase "What Haffen, Vella?" gained traction after Filipino comedian and Lautner impersonator Cristopher Diwata resurrected his 2013 performance from the “Kalokalike” segment of It’s Showtime, where he portrayed Lautner’s Twilight character, Jacob Black. A clip from the sketch recently resurfaced, triggering a fresh wave of meme content and making Diwata an online sensation once again.

The trend has continued to spread globally, with social media users and celebrities offering their own takes. Diwata himself returned to It’s Showtime just two weeks ago to embrace the renewed attention and react to his viral catchphrase.

Lautner’s subtle recognition of the trend adds a new layer of fun for fans who have watched the meme grow from a local throwback to an international hit.
