Netflix has released the first trailer for One Piece Season 2 and confirmed the live-action series will return for a third season.
The announcement was made during the annual One Piece Day event in Tokyo. Season 2 is set to debut in 2026, nearly three years after the first season’s release. Season 3 will begin filming in Cape Town, South Africa, this fall, with Ian Stokes joining Joe Tracz as co-showrunner, writer, and executive producer.
The new trailer shows returning characters Monkey D. Luffy, Nami, Usopp, Zoro, and Sanji, along with new cast members Lera Abova as Nico Robin and Callum Kerr as Smoker. The season will adapt more storylines from Eiichiro Oda’s original manga, including the crew’s journey into the Grand Line.
"Luffy and the Straw Hats set sail for the extraordinary Grand Line—a legendary stretch of sea where danger and wonder await at every turn," according to the official synopsis.
The One Piece live-action series is produced by Netflix and Tomorrow Studios in partnership with Shueisha.
