Tabu is back as a crafty matchmaker

The talented cast in Toh Baat Pakki promises to deliver the fun and frolic associated with a comedy that features a wedding. Rajeshwari (Tabu) is married to Vinay (Khan) and has two young children. Her mission is to find a rich groom from their community for younger sister Nisha (Chaudhary). But Rajeshwari is against giving the groom a dowry, which makes finding a suitable match difficult.

When Rahul (Joshi), an engineering student from her community, comes to town she manages to take him in as a paying guest so that he can connect with Nisha. Eventually Ruhul falls in love with her. But when the wedding preparations begin, Yuvraaj (Seth), a wealthy businessman also a member of their community, arrives at Rajeshwari's house. Now she tries to get Nisha married to Yuvraaj.

In Toh Baat Pakki, Tabu returns to the silver-screen after a break of almost three years. "I am not interested in doing every film that comes my way. I will do films that offer me an exciting role, and it doesn't necessarily mean that I have to play the pivotal part," she says.

Playing a typical middle-class housewife and sister in Toh Baat Pakki excited Tabu and despite all the challenges she still put up a splendid performance.
