‘Star Trek 3’ to film in Dubai

Are you ready to get close to the action, trekkers? Star Trek 3 is all set to starting filming in Dubai, confirmed Skydance Productions CEO and founder David Ellison.

In an interview with Slashfilm that was posted online last Thursday, Ellison confirmed the UAE and Canada as filming locations for the much anticipated sci-fi flick.

“We start shooting in ten days and we’re shooting in Vancouver and Dubai,” said Ellison.

Faced with the suggestion that Dubai could be an interesting spot for an alien planet, Ellison laughed. “Could be,” he said.

Dubai TV and Film Commission offered no official statement on the news when contacted by tabloid!
