Lee Seo-yi's manager shares heartfelt tribute online
Actress Lee Seo-yi, born Song Soo Yeon, passed away at the age of 43. The news was shared on July 1 through her official social media account by someone identified as her manager. According to the post, Seo-yi passed on June 20. The cause of death has not been made public.
The statement read: "Hello. This is Song Seo Bin, manager of actress Lee Seo Yi. A radiant, beautiful, lovely, and kind unnie became a star in the sky on June 20, 2025, so I leave this message here.
I know many of you must be shocked and deeply saddened by the news of her passing, but I kindly ask that you pray so that she may go to a good and beautiful place.

Born on April 18, 1982, Lee Seo Yi stepped into the spotlight with her acting debut in MBC’s 2013 historical drama Hur Jun, The Original Story. She soon captured attention with her role in the SBS series Cheongdam-dong Scandal (2014), and later appeared in critically noted films such as The King and Killing Romance. Known for her quiet strength and emotional depth on screen, Lee built a reputation for delivering sincere, moving performances that stayed with viewers.
Beyond acting, Lee Seo Yi was also a scholar. She majored in Czech and Slovak studies at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, and later pursued graduate studies at Pusan National University.
