Tanzanian social media sensation Kili Paul is set to make his debut in Malayalam cinema, marking a new chapter in his growing popularity among Indian audiences.

The viral content creator, known for his energetic lip-sync videos of Indian songs, arrived in Kochi last week ahead of the film’s official launch.

The makers of the movie, titled Innocent, which stars Althaf Salim and Anarkali Marikar in lead roles, announced the project at a public event held at Lulu Mall in Kochi on Monday night.

Kili Paul made his first public appearance in Kerala during the launch event. He is expected to play a significant role in Innocent, which also features Joemon Jyothir and Anna Prasad in key supporting roles.

The film will be directed by Satheesh Thanvi and produced by M. Sreeraj AKD under the banner of Elements of Cinema, marking the production house’s debut venture. Industry veterans G. Marthandan, Ajai Vasudev, Najumudeen, and Dixon Poduthas will serve as executive producers.

Affectionately called ‘Unniyettan’ by his Malayali fans, Kili Paul shot to fame with his lip-sync renditions of Bollywood hits and later gained further traction with Malayalam songs.

His sister, Neema, frequently appears in his videos, often wearing traditional Indian outfits that have endeared them to viewers across the country.

This isn't Kili’s first brush with India — he previously appeared as a guest on Bigg Boss Season 16 and also attended a high-profile wedding event.

His transition to the silver screen is being watched closely by fans and industry insiders alike.
