South Indian movie awards in Dubai in August

The fourth South Indian International Movie Awards (Siima), will be held in Dubai on August 6-7 at Dubai World Trade Centre, organisers announced at a press conference on Thursday.

This year, SIIMA is back in Dubai and we are looking forward to a grand night that will only get bigger and better with over 20 stars performing over two days in Dubai,” said Brinda Prasad, chairman of Siima.

Nomination are made by by a panel of judges from the Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam industries; winners are chosen by online voting.

Hansika Motwani, Rana Daggubati, Shriya Saran, Pranitha Subhash and Devi Sri Prasad were in Dubai for the press meet.

“To be representing the South [Indian] film industry globally is both a responsibility and a privilege and Siima is just the right platform to be a part of,” said Motwani.
