National Film Award-winning south Indian actress and dancer Shobana is bringing her latest thematic production Trance – Dancing Drums, to Ductac, Mall of the Emirates, on October 21 and 22.
The show will present various Indian performing traditions in a collage of rhythm supported by poetry, with pre-recorded and live music. Unlike her other productions where she has used Carnatic music interwoven with songs from Tamil, Hindi and Malayalam films, the soundscape of this 90 minute show will be an mix of Indian classical, Qawwali, Bollywood and electronic music.
