Sadha back in Tamil with ‘Eli’

Think Sadha and the movie Anniyan immediately comes to mind, although the actress has done few Tamil films after that.

In Eli, Sadha is back as Julie, a club dancer.

“I appear in the second half of the story. There is an introduction song and a second song, a dream sequence with [actor] Vadivelu sir,” said Sadha.

“It’s my first attempt at comedy and I enjoyed working with Vadivelu sir, whose timing is impeccable. He even praised my work.”

Sadha is enjoying her new role as a judge of a dance realty show, Dhee, for children on television.

“I was a bit sceptical about taking on this [project], but within a couple of episodes I was blown away by the children’s immense talent. What started as a 20-plus episode has got an extension, with 52 episodes. Being in the company of kids makes me feel younger.”

Sadha has done a cameo role in Malayalam film, Kelvi, and talks are on for a Tamil-Malayalam project.
