The much-anticipated trailer for Coolie, the upcoming action entertainer starring Rajinikanth, has finally been released — sending fans of the superstar, fondly known as 'Thalaiva', into a frenzy.

Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and produced by Kalanithi Maran under the Sun Pictures banner, Coolie is slated for a worldwide release on 14 August, just ahead of India’s Independence Day.

The production house shared the trailer on social media with the caption: “Deva Countdown Starts! The most anticipated #CoolieTrailer is out now!”

The trailer showcases Rajinikanth in a bold, dynamic avatar, delivering gripping action sequences, sharp dialogues, and high-stakes drama. It also offers a glimpse of Telugu superstar Nagarjuna in the role of the antagonist, adding further weight to the film's star-studded cast.

Adding to the excitement is the return of Aamir Khan alongside Rajinikanth after nearly three decades. The two were last seen together in Aatank Hi Aatank (1995).

In Coolie, Aamir plays a character named Dahaa, with his rugged look already creating buzz online after a teaser poster was shared by the makers.

The film has been given an 'A' (Adults Only) certificate by the censor board — Rajinikanth’s first in several years — hinting at a darker, grittier tone.

Music for the film is composed by Anirudh Ravichander, with released tracks like “Monica,” “Chikitu,” and “PowerHouse” receiving enthusiastic responses from fans.
