‘To Err is Human’ reads the tagline of the trailer of Oru Kuppa Kathai. Director Kaali Rangasamy, former assistant to Tamil director Ezhil, says that forgiving a loved one for his/her mistake is the key to a good relationship.

“But couples out of vengeance repeat the same mistakes and that spells doom in their relationship.”

Rangasamy’s story is placed inside a slum and follows the lives of a lower middle-class couple. Dance master Dinesh Kumar, (who won the national award in 2011) plays the lead character, working as a scavenger in the city corporation. Manisha Yadav is Poongudi, his wife.

Joshua Sridhar has composed music. Magesh Muthusamy is the DOP. Shot in Chennai, Hosur and Ooty, Oru Kuppa Kathai is produced by Film Box Productions.
