This Tamil film has been ready for a long time; it releases December 24

Jayam Ravi put on the boxing gloves once again for Bhooloham. The last time he played a boxer was in the 2004 family drama, M. Kumaran S/O Mahalakshmi.
Directed by debutant N. Kalyana Krishna, former associate of director S.P. Jhananathan, Bhooloham is based on the boxing culture that existed in the eighties in north Madras and is about two families that have been involved in boxing for generations.
Ravi, who gained 15kg for his role and trained under professionals for three months, said, “Here it is... raw boxing unlike in M. Kumaran, which involved kick-boxing.”
Ravi is paired opposite Trisha. As Gowri, she manages a college canteen and is a boxing analyst, too. Bhooloham works in her canteen. Gowri is instrumental in encouraging Bhooloham to take on a challenge.
Watch out for the climax fight sequence choreographed by Hollywood technicians. Prakash Raj plays a significant role. Australian actor and professional wrestler Nathan Jones, who towers at 2.13m and weights 150kg, plays the villain.
“This story, besides dwelling on two boxing families, also suggests that given the right facilities, India can also produce sportsmen of international calibre,” says Krishna.
