Another star son enters the industry

Malayalam actor Jayaram’s son, Kalidas, makes his debut with Balaji Tharaneetharan’s Tamil film, Oru Pakka Kathai.

It was a grand launch for Kalidas, who was introduced to the media in Chennai on Monday by Tamil legend Kamal Haasan, a close friend of his father’s.

Kalidas won a National award as a child actor in 2003 for his role in Malayalam film, Ente Veedu Appuvinteyum, directed by Sibi Malayil.

This is Tharaneetharan’s second film. He created a mark on debut with Naduvala Konjam Pakkatha Kanom in Tamil, a film that pushed Vijay Sethupathy’s career into fast mode and is known for its simple story featuring newcomers.
