Mammootty and Manshi Sharma play a couple that has eloped in this weekend’s Malayalam release

The Acha Din, (good day) that Durga Prasad and Sheetal are looking forward to is when the stork arrives.
This couple, hailing from Jharkand, have been living in Kerala for the past twenty years — to the point that Prasad speaks Malayalam like a native.
After twenty years of marriage, their baby is due and it’s a long-awaited moment for the couple who eloped.
Acha Din is Malayalam director G. Marthandan’s second film after Deivathinde Swantham Cleetus. Mammootty plays the lead again as Prasad. Television actress Mansi Sharma, who grew up in Jammu, is his onscreen wife, Sheetal.
Sharma, who was spotted in an ad and offered the role said: “The minute I heard it was a Mammooty film, I jumped to it, despite the new language.”
As Sheetal, she stands by Prasad, who strays onto the wrong path, turning their lives chaotic.
“Though I was nervous on the first day of my shoot, Mammuka made me feel comfortable,” said Sharma, an MBA graduate who quit a corporate job act in films. “Over the next few days, I learnt a good deal from him,”
“Durga Prasad considers Kerala his home now and seeks acceptance by the local people,” said Marthandan.
Padmaraj Ratheesh, son of late actor Ratheesh, makes his debut. Kannada actor Kishore plays an important role.
“It’s a family entertainer,” said Marthandan.
