Mumbai: Bollywood playback singer Sonu Nigam's mother, Shobha Nigam, died after a prolonged illness, sources said.
She was 63.
Nigam’s mother breathed her last on Thursday at around 1.45pm at their Andheri residence in Mumbai. Her last rites were performed at Pawan Hans crematorium in Vile Parle on Friday morning.
Actor Manoj Bajpai, composers Sajid-Wajid, Lalit Pandit, Shankar Mahadevan and others came to pay their last respects.
Singers Shaan and Abhijeet Sawant, TV actors Rohit Roy and his wife Mansi, actress Divya Dutta among others also arrived at the singer’s residence to offer condolence.
