Yet, strangely, Bollywood filmmakers look to foreign lands for inspiration. The latest Hindi horror flick, Click, borrows its theme from a Thai movie, Shutter that was also remade in Hollywood with the same title.

The film is about Avi (Talpade), a successful fashion photographer who falls in love with a model, Sonia (Sadaa). Their life seems to be perfect until Sonia apparently hits a girl while driving in an isolated area. But there isn't any trace of the girl. Then she finds the photographs taken by Avi have a mysterious light in them. She further discovers they hold a terrifying secret that Avi has hidden from her.

It's something in Avi's past that manifests itself in the form of a spirit (Ullal) and threatens to ruin not only his life but that of dear ones. Sonia has to find a way to stop the deadly spirit.

Sivan is known for his comic hits Kya Kool Hai Hum and Apna Sapna Money Money but not many are aware that he attempted a horror flick with Jackie Shroff. Talpade will also be switching from comedy to horror. He said he agreed to star in the film as he found the script intriguing.
