Sorry ladies, but Mohammad Hamaki is no longer a bachelor.

The Egyptian singer got married in a lavish ceremony recently in Cairo to his fiancee of a year, Nahla.

According to sources close to the star, entry to the wedding venue was ultra-strict, with guests requested to bring the hard copy of their invitation in order to gain access. All attendees were instructed not to film any part of the wedding with cameras or video phones.

Only 300 guests were invited to the star-studded affair, and singers Amr Diab, Mohammad Mounir and Mohammad Fouad performed at the event.

Hamaki also sang a song for his new wife, which he wrote for her as a surprise.

The newly-weds will spend their honeymoon touring Europe and the US.

Menna disses Saudis

Menna Shalaby has landed herself in trouble with her Saudi fans.

On a recent visit to Saudi Arabia to attend the Saudi Forum for the Unity of Arab Countries in the Fight against Aids, the Egyptian actress is said to have annoyed staff and attendees at the forum by constantly smoking in the lobby of the hotel she was staying at.

A source said: "Menna was walking around smoking without a care in the world, which is inconsiderate because this is where medical tests were being performed.

"If she wanted to smoke, she should have done so in the privacy of her own room. It was disrespectful to the Saudi Ministry of Health that was sponsoring the event, which also actively supports the country's anti-smoking campaign."

George is getting better

Good news for George Wassouf fans. The singer is on road to recovery as was seen in his first public TV appearance since falling into a coma. The Syrian star appeared on OTV, assuring his fans that his health condition is now stable.

Apparently, Wassouf had only agreed to do the interview due to the fact that the presenter is a close friend of his, and had accompanied him throughout his ordeal at the hospital.

"My health is gradually improving. I'm receiving the best treatment and hope that I can leave hospital soon to start spending more time with my fans," Wassouf said. "I'd like to thank everyone that checked up on me, wishing me a speedy recovery."
