Al Kabeer Awy is back, again

Good news for Al Kabeer Awy fans; it is returning for a third season.

Ahmad Mekky has reportedly signed on to work on part three of the ultra successful comedy series. The Egyptian actor will reprise his roles as Al Kabeer and his twin brother Johnny. Donia Sameer Ganem is also expected to return, and the show will hit screens during Ramadan.

At the end of Season 2, which was shown in 2011, Mekky also played the part of Hazabon. However, it is unclear whether that character will return.

The series will be directed by Ahmad Gendy and feature guest stars for the very first time.

What is Nelly Kareem revealing?

Nelly Kareem has revealed that she is set to star in a biopic about legendary belly dancer and actress Samia Gamal.

The Egyptian-Russian actress, who is also a professional ballerina, told Arab media that the idea behind the film was hers, and will explore Gamal’s important milestones in her personal life.

“I can’t wait to be involved in this project as it is about someone who was in love with dance, just like I am,” Nelly said. “I have been offered many dance projects, such as Fawazeer during Ramadan, but I don’t think I could do justice to it like [Egyptian performers] Nelly and Sherihan did in the 90s. So I am looking forward to this!”
