Short film festival in Dubai
Nine shortlisted movies of 15 minutes each will compete at the Battle Of The Best on November 20 at Vox Cinemas, Deira City Centre
Battle Of The Best, a short film festival created by Socialciti, a Dubai-based group of film enthusiasts, will be held on Friday, November 20, at Vox Cinemas Deira City Center.
The festival will feature nine shortlisted movies from which a panel of judges will pick the best film, best director, best actor and best actress. Each 15-minute film, selected from local and international entries, are screened for the first time in the UAE. Non-English language movies will have subtitles. The nine films are Awakening (Hindi), Sleight, Faded, Cube, How to Train your Husband, Muftnosh, Adhiyum Anthyavum, Balance and The Hunter.
The award ceremony and a Q&A session with the filmmakers will follow the screening. Tickets are priced at Dh35 (silver), Dh50 (gold) and Dh80 (platinum). Gates will open at 7.30pm.
