Say what, Gretchen?

Known for her lavish lifestyle (according to a source, her monthly spend on beauty products alone is in the range of Dh160,000, not including what she spends on clothes), Gretchen Barretto admits she also wears non-branded, cheap shirts and jeans that "I at least accessorise so they look nicer".

But there are some things she'll never do for fashion, she revealed in an interview on Filipino TV: "I would never be caught dead wearing cheap underwear".

Barretto also confessed to having run over one of her exes for insisting they get back together. Barretto's revelations, a publicity stunt for the final episode of her television series Magkaribal (Rivals), have rubbed people the wrong way. But her fans say she wouldn't be herself without the sometimes nasty, most of the time tactless remarks.
