Dongre’s Ramadan and Eid collection are about flowy silhouettes and delicate embroidery

Dubai: With Ramadan beginning in the UAE, if you're looking for modest fashion inspiration, Anita Dongre has you covered—literally. Known for her effortless elegance and commitment to sustainability, the designer’s latest Ramadan edit in Dubai proves that modesty and style go hand in hand.
“Modest fashion is integral to this region, and we launched our new store with a special Ramadan edit,” she shares.
“This collection, exclusive to Dubai for now, hasn’t even launched in India yet. It reflects our commitment to modest yet stylish dressing.”
Dongre’s designs are all about flowy silhouettes, delicate embroidery, and luxurious fabrics that drape beautifully. Sustainability is key, too.
“We use biodegradable cellulosic fibers, silk, cotton, and handcrafted textiles. Many of our fabrics are handwoven by artisans in India, ensuring that traditional techniques thrive while keeping fashion eco-friendly,” she says.
Anita Dongre, a prominent Indian designer, has dressed global icons like Kate Middleton and Priyanka Chopra. Her label, House of Anita Dongre, is a favorite among celebrities and fashion enthusiasts alike.
For this season’s Ramadan collection, nature takes center stage, with floral and botanical motifs adding an organic charm.
“Our pieces celebrate craftsmanship, with hand-painted and embroidered details that resonate with the elegance of the Middle East,” Dongre explains.
She's also intent on making her designs more accessible to Dubai’s fashion-conscious crowd.
For Dongre, it’s all about empowering women through fashion.
“Our customers share invaluable feedback. Many tell us they feel happy and confident wearing our designs, which is the best compliment,” she says.
As modest fashion takes the global stage, Dongre is leading the way, proving that elegance, comfort, and tradition can coexist effortlessly.
