Just hours after the much-awaited Rajinikanth starrer Coolie hit theaters, the internet had other plans. Both HD and low-resolution copies of the movie surfaced on torrent and piracy sites, turning the excitement of Thalaivaa fans into an unexpected digital headache. Fans have requested others to not share the links, and to watch the film in the theatres.

Adding to the drama, the leak comes just days after the Madras High Court took action. On August 11, 2025, Justice Senthilkumar Ramamoorthy issued an interim injunction restraining 36 ISPs across India from letting rogue websites stream pirated versions of Coolie. The move aimed to protect the copyright of the Sun TV Network-produced blockbuster.

Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, Coolie boasts a pan-India ensemble cast including Aamir Khan, Nagarjuna Akkineni, Upendra Rao, Shruti Haasan, and Soubin Shahir. The story follows Deva, a former gold smuggler on a high-stakes mission to reclaim lost power through stolen technology hidden in vintage golden watches — a journey that quickly turns dangerous, thrilling, and absolutely cinematic.

For now, fans can only hope that box office magic survives the digital chaos.
