Tej is fighting for his life after a stampede at Allu Arjun's movie premiere in Hyderabad

Dubai: South Indian actor Allu Arjun visited the eight-year-old boy critically injured at the hospital earlier today. The boy was badly hurt during a stampede triggered allegedly by the actor's appearance at the premiere show of Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2: The Rule at Sandhya Theatre on December 4.
The tragic incident also claimed the life of Sri Tej’s mother, Revathi, and left several others injured, raising serious questions about crowd management at high-profile film events.
The stampede reportedly occurred as massive crowds gathered at the theatre to catch a glimpse of Allu Arjun during the premiere of the highly anticipated sequel to his 2021 blockbuster Pushpa: The Rise.
Reports indicate that the actor’s presence outside the venue drew an overwhelming number of fans, which overwhelmed security arrangements and led to chaos.
Accompanied by Telangana State Film Development Corporation Chairman Dil Raju, Allu Arjun spent about 30 minutes at the hospital under tight police security.
He met with the boy’s father, offered his condolences and support, and consulted with the doctors to understand Sri Tej’s condition. While the actor’s visit was appreciated, it also brought renewed attention to the circumstances that led to the stampede.
This tragedy has highlighted the urgent need for better crowd control and safety measures during events involving major stars, whose immense fan following can sometimes overwhelm organisers.
With Pushpa 2: The Rule positioned as one of the biggest releases of 2024, the incident serves as a sobering reminder of the potential risks of fan frenzy.
