Dubai: The much-awaited sequel Pushpa 2: The Rule, starring Allu Arjun, continues its triumphant journey beyond cinemas as it readies for its digital debut on Netflix.

Following its theatrical release on December 5, 2024, the film has shattered records, grossing over Dh820 million globally and cementing its place among the highest-grossing Indian films.

Directed by Sukumar, the movie’s gripping narrative, Allu Arjun’s powerhouse performance, and its pan-Indian appeal have resonated with audiences worldwide.

However, celebrations surrounding the film’s success were tragically marred by a stampede during an outdoor screening event in Andhra Pradesh earlier this month. The incident, which resulted in injuries and loss of life, cast a shadow over what should have been a jubilant moment for fans and the team behind the blockbuster. Authorities are now investigating the lapse in crowd control measures at the event.

Despite this somber turn, anticipation for the film’s OTT release remains high.

Netflix, which reportedly acquired the film’s streaming rights for Dh122 million, has ensured that Pushpa 2 will be accessible in multiple languages, including Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada. For its digital debut, the film will include an additional 10 minutes of exclusive content, offering deeper insights into key characters and Pushpa’s global smuggling ventures.

While the exact streaming date is yet to be announced, Pushpa 2’s digital release is expected by late January or early February 2025, continuing its phenomenal journey and connecting with audiences worldwide.
