As a nod to the long-enduring appeal of Punjabi weddings in Bollywood films, Yash Raj's youth wing Y- Films has begun work on its latest project Mere Dad Ki Maruti.
Billed as a comedy about a Punjabi boy who steals his father's car to impress a college hottie, the backdrop is of course a loud, colourful Punjabi wedding. Set in Chandigarh, the film will star Mujse Fraaandship Karoge star Saqib Saleem and will be directed by first-timer Ashima Chibber. Watch this space for first look and teaser.
