David Dhawan and Govinda make a comeback.

Do Knot Disturb
Cast: Govinda, Ritesh Deshmukh, Sushmita Sen, Lara Dutta, Sohail Khan, Ranvir Shorey
Director: David Dhawan
Rating: TBA

In the '90s Bollywood was dominated by the irresistible Govinda-David Dhawan combo, with films like Saajan Chale Sasural, Deewana Mastana and Haseena Maan Jaeygi. After a long break, the duo returned with the hit flick Partner in 2007. And now they are back to tickle us with yet another fun film Do Knot Disturb. In this movie Govinda is torn between two beauty queens.

The plot

A husband (Govinda) who lives on his wife's (Sen) terms and money, indulges in an extramarital affair with a supermodel (Dutta) to break away from his dominating wife's clutches. To throw his wife off the scent and save himself, he bribes a waiter (Deshmukh) to pretend to be the model's boyfriend.

Meanwhile the wife's friend, who is a private detective (Shorey) is hell bent on proving her husband's infidelity so that he can marry his childhood sweetheart himself. Adding to the drama is the return of the supermodel's ex-boyfriend (Khan) who is angry at being dumped for a married man. And there begins a comedy of errors.

The reunion

After producing numerous hits with the Govinda-Dhawan team, Vashu Bhagnani reunites with the killer combo in Do Knot Disturb. "It's a great feeling to do a film with Dhawan and Govinda as we have a terrific track record and hopefully Do Knot Disturb will prove that we are the number one team once again," says Bhagnani. Dhawan, who has an uncanny ability to extract the best from Govinda, says: "In my books he is an irreplaceable actor and a rare talent."

Male camaraderie

Deshmukh will star alongside Govinda for the first time. "I've been a huge Govinda fan and in a way I'm influenced by his style. I can't wait to watch the audiences' response to our camaraderie," says Deshmukh. Apart from the duo, there's Shorey and Khan to add fun to the tickle fest. Though Khan earlier acted in Dhawan's Maine Pyar Kyun Kiya, this will be Shorey's first Dhawan movie.

Clash of the beauty queens

Do Knot Disturb features former Miss Universes Sushmita Sen and Lara Dutta for the first time together. The actresses are not only known for their glamour quotient but for their good comic performances as well.

Dutta claims she's had more luck with comedy than with any other genre. "I've enjoyed doing comedies. I had a terrific time doing Dhawan's Partner. And now I'm paired with two of Bollywood's best comic talents Govinda and Ritesh and trust me, it can't get better than this," says Dutta.

Do Knot Disturb has everything going in its favour, unless a weak screenplay hampers its success.
