Pirates embark on new adventure

Disney said a new Pirates of the Caribbean film is on the horizon. Johnny Depp sailed onstage on a pirate ship at the Anaheim Convention Centre to help announce the forthcoming installment of Disney's blockbuster film franchise.

He was welcomed with a rousing standing ovation.

Depp will reprise his role as Captain Jack Sparrow in Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, slated for summer of 2011. It's the fourth in a series.

Bond Girl launches cancer campaign

Bond Girl Rachel Grant showed off her daredevil side when she made a splash to launch a breast cancer awareness campaign. The Hollywood star joined a group of cancer survivors at Thorpe Park theme park in Surrey to rally people to sign up to Cancer Research UK's "Join the fight for women's survival" fundraising programme. Grant, originally from Acton in west London, starred with Pierce Brosnan in the 007 blockbuster Die Another Day.
