Pinoy heartthrob Paulo Avelino is coming back to Dubai to perform at the Pinoy Fiesta concert on January 30 as part of the ongoing Dubai Shopping Festival celebrations, where he will share the stage with Kim Chiu, Aiza Seguerra, Side A and comedienne K-Brosas.
He speaks to tabloid! ahead of his upcoming show, and talks sweetly, though briefly, about his rumoured girlfriend, KC Concepcion.
What are best memories of your past visits to the UAE?
I was here for the Independence Day celebrations last 2013, for the Kapamilya Kalayaan Karavan 2013, and it was so much fun! I was so happy because of the tremendous support of my fans that time. Dubai is always changing, I see it on the news, so I’m excited to see the new sights when I visit again for Anta Presents Pinoy Fiesta 2015.
What can you say about Filipino fans in the UAE?
They’re amazing. They have shown so much support for me during my last visit. It’s heartwarming. During the last time I was there, it was like we were just in the Philippines. There are so many Filipinos in Dubai, it was a pleasant and heartwarming sight. I hope to see you all again for my upcoming show there on January 30.
What projects — TV, movies, concerts — are you working on at the moment?
I do have an upcoming TV teleserye, Bridges of Love, with Jericho and Maja Salvador. And of course, the concert in Dubai, in Zabeel Park Amphitheatre. The organisers say it’s truly going to be a fiesta atmosphere so I’m really excited to see all my fans there!
What can fans expect to see from your performance?
For all my fans, I have one thing to say: Expect a great show, guys, because that’s what’s in store for you. I’m really excited to see all of you again.
