Dubai: Pakistani actor Samar Abbas Jafri, the breakout star of Parwarish and widely adored as Wali Jahangir, recently opened up about his off-screen bond with co-actor Aina Asif, who plays the poised and perceptive Maya Shaheer in the drama.

In a recent chat with a digital magazine, the 21-year-old actor was asked if their onscreen chemistry mirrors a real-life friendship.

“Of course we do [get along],” he responded confidently.

“She’s incredibly mature and very sensible,” Jafri added. “Despite the age gap, talking to her never feels like I’m chatting with someone younger. Her emotional intelligence makes the connection feel natural.”

That mutual understanding, he explained, is what contributes to the seamless camaraderie fans see onscreen.

“It’s one of the reasons we’ve built such a solid friendship off-camera too,” he said.

Jafri also dismissed any discomfort over fans ‘shipping’ the two young stars, noting that their dynamic remains easygoing and unaffected by the speculation.

Currently, Parwarish continues to capture viewers’ attention with its compelling storyline and stellar cast. Alongside Jafri and Asif, the ensemble features powerhouses like Naumaan Ijaz, Savera Nadeem, Shamim Hilaly, Saad Zameer Fareedi, Reham Rafiq, Nazr-ul-Hasan, Bakhtawar Mazhar, Nooray Zeeshan, Haleema Ali, Arshad Mehmood, Saman Ansari, and Abul Hasan.

Directed by Meesam Naqvi and written by Kiran Siddiqui, Parwarish airs every Monday and Tuesday on ARY Digital.
