Looks like Nadia Khan is on a signing spree, as far as drama serials are concerned. But she’s making sure that all of them have author-backed roles for her. After Aisi Hai Tanhai and Tum Kaisi Aurat Ho, which feature her in the lead, Khan is now due out in Moomal Entertainment’s Zann Mureed (which literally translates as ‘henpecked husband’).
Theatre actor Omair Rana plays the eponymous role. The two recently came together for a special poster shoot for the play.
Scripted by noted Urdu novelist and playwright Amna Mufti, the 30-episode serial is based on the serious subject of domestic violence. Its supporting cast is also one to speak of — it includes veterans like Hina Khawaja Bayat, Shamim Hilaly, and Khalid Anum.
