Mahira Khan to make Cannes debut

It’s official. Mahira Khan shall be walking the red carpet at the 71st Cannes Film Festival, to be held from May 8 to 19.

The Pakistani actress, who hit the pinnacle of stardom when she acted opposite the Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan in 2017’s Raees, and who was named the first Pakistani brand ambassador for make-up brand L’Oreal last year, put all rumours to rest when she took to Twitter and wrote, “My name is #Cannes and I’m not a ;).” Her fans were delighted.

Khan is expected to represent the brand alongside Julianne Moore, Jane Fonda, Eva Longoria, and Bollywood’s Kangana Ranaut, Deepika Padukone, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, and Sonam Kapoor.
