Humaima Malik sure knows how to grab headlines. Recently, the Pakistani actress shared pictures of her, along with younger brother Feroze Khan, meeting Bollywood superstar Salman Khan in London, on her official Instagram page. The photos were instantly picked up by the media.
While the PR people described this as a “meaningful dinner” which “might unfold a new venture,” there was food for thought for those who knew Malik from the days of her debut feature film Bol (2011).
For them, Malik’s ‘association’ with the Sultan of Hindi cinema is old news. They swear that while on the sets of Bol, Malik loved to talk about this ‘untitled film’ with Khan that she (back then) claimed to have shot for in Dubai.
That the ‘film’ never came out and no one ever knew anything about it is history. All we can say is that such wish-fulfilment sound bites don’t get anyone anywhere
