After the debacle of last year’s Mah-i-Mir, a part-fiction, part-biopic on the life and times of the Mughal poet Mir Taqi Mir, along with Zindagi Kitni Haseen Hai (2016) that had an average run at the box office, director Anjum Shahzad is returning to what he is best known for: TV serials.
His latest show, titled Khaani, is touted to be “a unique love story” between Sana Javed and Feroze Khan. It is produced under the banner of 7th Sky Entertainment, whose recently concluded drama serial Mohabbat Tumse Nafrat Hai did well on Geo TV.
The rest of the cast of Khaani includes Mehmood Aslam, Saman Ansari, Qavi Khan, Salma Hasan, Rashid Farooqui, Seemi Pasha, and Shehzad Malik. The show’s music is rendered by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan.
