Ali Noor impresses with a cappella track
A rendition of a famous national song from the 1980s, ‘Khayal Rakhna’ was originally sung by Alamgir and Benjamin Sisters
On the eve of Pakistan’s Independence Day, pop star Ali Noor (of Noori the band) surprised his fans when he came out with an a cappella video. A rendition of a famous national song from the 1980s, Khayal Rakhna was originally sung by legendary singer Alamgir and Benjamin Sisters (a popular girl band of the time).
Noor takes a part of the track and fuses it with contemporary melodies.
Creating the sound of musical instruments through one’s vocal chords is an art, and Noor takes it to the next level — literally. He is joined in the video by noted actress Ayesha Omar, and pop artists Zoe Viccaji, Rachel Viccaji and Sara Haider.
