Painkili OTT release date revealed: Here's why you should watch this whacky Malayalam romantic comedy

After creating quite a buzz on social media, the charming Malayalam-language romantic comedy Painkili (roughly translated as cheesy love story), starring Anaswara Rajan and Sajin Gopu, is all set to make its way to the OTT space in India.

Directed by Sreejith Babu, the film was originally released in cinemas on Valentine’s Day and won hearts with its lighthearted narrative and endearing performances.

At its core, Painkili is a breezy romantic comedy about an unassuming young man whose uneventful life is turned on its head when a quirky, free-spirited girl (Rajan) barges into his world. Themes like young women resisting arranged marriages and men undergoing quarter-life crisis is explored in fun detail.
