Operation Smile to host ‘Wonder’ screening in Abu Dhabi
A percentage of the book sales from the event will be donated to the non-profit medical charity
Operation Smile, the non-profit medical charity, will host a special screening of Wonder for students at Oscar Cinemas, Al Wahda Mall, Abu Dhabi on November 14.
The film, which stars Jacob Tremblay, Julia Roberts and Owen Wilson, highlights the story of a boy with facial deformities who attends a mainstream elementary school for the first time.
Wonder is adapted from the New York Times bestseller of the same name by R.J. Palacio.
Magrudy’s, a partner of the event has stated that 20 per cent of proceeds from the event’s book sales will go towards supporting Operation Smile in the UAE.
Wonder is distributed by Phars Film and Eagle Films and releases in cinemas across the UAE on November 16.
