Last week’s Tony Award nominations made only some box offices on Broadway sing.

Fun Home, a poignant show about growing up that got 12 nods, earned $95,000 (Dh348,949) more than the previous week. It had a weekly total of about $532,000.

Something Rotten! a big, bawdy show about the birth of the first musical, earned 10 nominations on Tuesday, had its best week, earning over $801,000, an increase of $84,000.

Not all the top nominated shows did better. Wolf Hall Parts One and Two, with eight nominations, actually lost $9,500 from last week, and The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time lost $82,000. Hand to God earned only an extra $3,000. An American in Paris lost $15,000 but still ended the week over $1.2 million.
