The signer-songwriter put together a 5-track project at the iconic studio

Singer-songwriter Hasan Malik, who won the Yasalam Emerging Talent Competition in the UAE last year, has recorded his debut project at the iconic Abbey Road Studios in London.
The American-born, Dubai-raised Malik, who this year turns 18, recorded five tracks at The Gatehouse, a new studio space at Abbey Road that is intended for upcoming musicians.
“Recording at Abbey Road has been one of the most humbling experience of my life,” said Malik in a statement.
“Across the UAE, I’m known for my performances at various concerts and festivals, but I hope that this project will allow me to forge my own path as an artist and translate the energy of my performance into song-writing,” he added.
Malik made his UAE debut in 2016 at Dubai Media City Amphitheatre during RedFest DXB. He won the Yasalam Emerging Talent Competition and earned a residency at du Arena for 2017. He opened for Coldplay, Rihanna and Olly Murs during their UAE shows.
He intends to release his first project in the winter.
