Suresh Wadkar also signed up for karaoke championships across schools and colleges

After a successful launch by Sonu Nigam and Suresh Wadkar, India’s biggest Karaoke platform Musiqui has announced the Indian Karaoke League (IKL), its first national school and college championships.
IKL College Champs and IKL School Stars is a nationwide hunt for the best karaoke singers in college and school, with the aim of encouraging students from all over Indian and from all age groups to show off their singing talents.
Speaking on the occasion, Wadkar said: “Being a teacher and mentor for many decades, I have noticed that only talent and music education is not enough for professional success. An artist also needs a professional platform that will offer an opportunity to showcase all they have.”
Nigam said: “Music has ceased to remain a profession or a hobby of a few and with the advent of technology it has facilitated more people to enjoy being called a singer. IKL takes this to another league now by bringing the technology, and the platform, to your doorstep.”
IKL Championship has also announced cash prizes for the top three winning schools and colleges along with trophies and certificates. The winners will get guidance directly from Wadkar and Nigam to launch their singing career.
