Unlike traditional tea, where leaves are steeped in hot water, matcha dissolves the entire tea leaf into the drink itself.

Dubai: Just when we thought we’d reached peak fusion food—boom—someone goes and whisks matcha into ramen. Because clearly, the only thing missing from our already spiraling lives was green tea in our soup.

Reif Japanese Kushiyaki has birthed a matcha duck ramen, and it’s serving chaos in a bowl (in the best way).

Handmade noodles are floating in a creamy chicken-and-duck broth that’s been gatecrashed by Japanese matcha. It’s green, it’s glossy, and it looks like it should be doing yoga with Gwyneth Paltrow.

And let’s be honest—Hollywood and Bollywood celebs are partly to blame for matcha’s world domination.

From Alia Bhatt sipping it post-yoga to Kourtney Kardashian sprinkling it into things no one asked for—matcha is clearly the moment. So of course it had to end up in ramen. Because wellness... but make it unhinged.

This leafy, ducky, deliciously confusing creation is only around until the end of the month at Dar Wasl and Dubai Hills Business Park —just long enough for you to spiral into an identity crisis over whether to slurp it or judge it from afar.

Would you try it? Or are you still recovering from the time someone put truffle oil on everything?
