Geronimo to play Cabral

Sarah Geronimo will play the role of Binibining Cabral in the television series Bituin Walang Ningning. The series is based on the movie of the same name that had Sharon Cuneta playing Cabral. The television series will also see Zsa Zsa Padilla, Ai Ai De Las Alas and Angelika Dela Cruz in pivotal roles.

Fame is theirs

Martin Nievera and Gary Valenciano will join the Hall of Fame at the Awit Awards, to be held on June 15. Both singers will receive the Dangal ng Musikang Pilipino award in recognition of their contribution to the Philippine music industry.

A terrific response

Nora Aunor has received film offers from the US after the short film she starred in titled Home Care did well there. The Suzette Ranillo directed film premiered to a sellout audience with an estimated 1,000 attending the show at the Palace Of Fine Arts in San Francisco.

Heroes with a twist

Jun Lana's series on superheroes titled Fantastikids will star Marky Cielo, Isabella de Leon and BJ Forbes. However, the catch is the children's series will not see the superheroes in skintights, but will feature ordinary children with extrordinary powers.

The greens beckon

Jackie Rice dreams of following what her heart says and get into the agriculture and poultry business some day. The actress, who has just signed on for the TV series Love To Love and Encantadia, says it's always been her dream to retire to the countryside once she is finished with acting.

Bladyak hits a new note

Bladyak has released a compilation of his latest compositions. The songs include Bumbay, Summer Reggae and Bilin Ni Lola at Inday. The rapper says he has been devoting his time to composing songs, but plans to get back to his live acts now.
