Ludacris hosts charity gala at Abu Dhabi F1

The Grammy-winning hip-hop singer will host an invitation-only fundraiser before performing at the Grand Prix

Who said the action during Abu Dhabi F1 Grand Prix is limited to the racing track?

Grammy winning rapper Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, who has also appeared in the Fast And The Furious films, will host an invitation-only gala and concert on November 28 at the Ritz Carlton in Abu Dhabi.

All the proceeds from the gala starting at 7pm, honouring the next generation of creative leaders in Africa, the Arabian Gulf, and the Caribbean. will benefit the Ludacris Foundation. However, the Grammy-winning hip hop singer Ludacris will not perform at the gala, but will play host for the evening.

If you wish to see him perform, you could always head to the pop-up club by VIP Room, on the third floor of Yas Marina Building 1, on the same night.

At the gala, you can also look out for American comedian and actor Kevin Hart, who is also likely to attend as a guest.

“I began the Ludacris Foundation to help empower the next generation of leaders, just as [event organiser] BAC [Beauty: African, Arabic & Carribean] is committed to empowering the next generation of innovators in the Middle East, Africa, and the Caribbean. That’s why I’m excited to return to Abu Dhabi, where we filmed some of my favourite scenes in our film Furious 7, to help BAC accomplish their mission of providing a platform for talented young creators from Africa, the Middle East and the Caribbean,” said Ludacris in a statement.

BAC is a digital content channel that highlights the media boom in Africa, the Arabian Gulf and the Caribbean and this gala will mark its official launch.

Providing entertainment for the night would be Latin musician Tito Puente Jr..
