No one has ever questioned Reshammiya's musical talent but his acting skills have constantly been under scrutiny. Now, Reshammiya returns to prove a point with Pooja Bhatt's Kajraare.

On the deserted streets of Jordan, an affluent traveller Rajiv (Reshammiya) falls in love with Nargis (Mona Liza) the minute he sees her.Rajiv begins his search for the mysterious girl only to discover that she comes from Pakistan's infamous Heera Mandi area. In order to meet Nargis, Rajiv first has to tackle the foul-mouthed Zohra Bai (Singh) who controls the illegal activity in the area. In his attempt to rescue Nargis, he's forced to reveal his true identity and the mess he has gotten himself into. Kajraare has been in the making for a while now. It was expected to be released after Aap Kaa Surroor and Karzzz, instead Radio was released earlier. Despite box-office disasters, the actor is still optimistic.

"Karzzz failed because it was an expensive film. It was sold at a premium price while Radio was a safe low-budget film with an experimental storyline," says Reshammiya. "In comparison, Kajraare is a mainstream film with Mahesh Bhatt's solid story. Pooja Bhatt has pitched me as an edgy romantic guy and presented me in a unique manner."

Keeping with Reshammiya's tradition of introducing a new heroine in his films (Hansika Motwani in Aap Kaa Surroor, Shwetha Kumar in Karzzz and Sonal Sehgal in Radio), Pakistani actress Mona Liza will make her debut in Kajraare. It is believed that this popular Pakistani TV actress' innocence and beauty made her the perfect Nargis.

Kajraare has been extensively shot in the UAE, Morocco and Pakistan. Dubai Mall's popular aquarium is also featured in one of the tracks.

After Milenge Milenge, this will be Reshammiya's full-fledged album. "Milenge Milenge is an old commitment. I've stopped composing music for other films, because I now compose and sing only for my films. This helps me to be exclusive and concentrate on quality music. I have added a lot of Middle Eastern flavour to the music of Kajraare, which makes the songs sound unique and plays a key role in taking the film's story forward."
