Roop in pushto
Roop is making headlines again. No, not in the Urdu film industry, but in the Pushto industry. Though she's not your typical Pushto heroine, she looks bewitching with her new haircut and trendy dresses in the movie Pakistan Zama Janan. She had to dance alongside top Pushto heroine Sidra Noor and the general consensus was that she gave a good performance. She's planning more such dance competitions onscreen and has even entered into talks with Pushto film directors about it.

Reema's Show
Talks are on between Pakistan Television (PTV) and film star Reema to finalise her first TV show as a host. Reema earlier worked in a TV soap that was aired on the GEO channel. Her show is supposed to get top billing since Reema is one of the mega stars of Lollywood as well as a sought-after model.

Dangerous territory
Militant groups have threatened to stop the screening of Shoaib Mansoor's maiden venture, Khuda Key Liyay, as it tackles a relatively new subject for Lollywood – religion. Bollywood actor Naseeruddin Shah plays a fundamentalist cleric while Shaan plays the lead. Popstar Junaid Jamshed was expected to be part of the movie, but he excused himself after he joined a religious group. His absence might hurt the film badly.

Zara's take
Zara Shaikh is not averse to working in an Indian movie, provided she gets a role that suits her personality as well as her status, it was revealed on the popular Sahir Lodhi Show. In her own circumspect style, she held forth on a variety of topics during the show. According to her, Lollywood will prosper once technology and technique make their way back into the industry. She also said on the show that she is very particular about her diet! Shaikh, who looked in great shape, is awaiting the release of her movie Kabhi Pyar Na Karna.
