New film same leads
Nirma will be seen in the lead role in Altaf Hussain's film Armaan. The actress will be paired with her Rabba Ishq Na Hovay (her debut film) co-star Sami. Nirma hopes to taste the same success that she had in her first film (also directed by Hussain). The cast of Armaan also includes Megha and Raheela Agha.

Friendly gesture
Shaan managed to get Masood Butt and Parvez Rana to patch up. The directors had not been on talking terms for some time after squabbles concerning their films and the poaching of ideas. Shaan, who has worked with both Butt and Rana, stepped in as a mediator at the Evernew Studios in Lahore and got the two to get over their differences. Later, sweets were distributed by set hands in acknowledgement of this gesture.

It's the tooth
Laila had to visit her dentist in the middle of a dance rehearsal for a play. The actress had been suffering from a bad wisdom tooth for some time. She felt a stab of pain and collapsed. Co-artistes rushed her to the green room from where she was taken to her dentist and the tooth was extracted. To her credit, Laila reported back for practice sessions that very evening.

Captivating
Zeba Bakhtiar is back on television. The actress is playing the central character in the series Muqaddas, on the ARY channel. Those who have seen her in the first couple of episodes feel her acting is good. Bakhtiar has kept away from television for awhile, but recent offers have been too lucrative to refuse.
