Model pair
Zara Shaikh and Mekaal are an item. Mekaal is a model who also dabbles in bit roles in television serials and the two recently hit the ramp in Islamabad for a show held by a fashion magazine. The two have been seeing each other a while now, but refuse to comment on their relationship.
Ready for a price
Mona Lisa is willing to take up film roles. The television actress who acted in the Indian film Qafila with Sunny Deol says she is willing to star in Pakistani films if directors make good offers. It goes without saying that the money should be good too.
Waiting for release
Laila Zubeiri is getting jittery about the delayed release of Uraan, which features her as the female lead. Zubeiri was unwilling to get into films as she was getting roles in television. She only signed on for the film after confirming that Uraan would be screened at international film festivals.
Meera to play Babi
Meera will play Indian actress Parveen Babi in Pooja Bhatt's Akelapan. Babi, who died of a neural disorder, was one of the most glamorous faces in Indian cinema in the '80s. Meera considers it an honour to play the role.
A decisive no!
Shaan refuses to star with Saima Khan in any more scenes in filmmaker Sangeetha's next venture. Shaan was affected by the scandals Khan has been involved in with her co-stars and refuses to tolerate her presence.
