Stars call on public to help children affected landslides in Indian region Leh

Bollywood stars took to Twitter to express their sympathies and prayers for all those affected by the landslides in the Indian region Leh.

While Bollywood A-lister Priyanka Chopra urged her fans to help the affected children by donating to savethechildren.in, item-girl Sophie Choudhry expressed her shock at the lives lost in the natural disaster.

"For victims and their families, me and my family are doing our best to offer help. If u can … in ur smallest way … it would help! I have such amazing memories of leh. my dAd was posted there in 94. I mean I was a kid but I remember so clearly running barefoot and carefree," tweeted Chopra, the newly-appointed Unicef ambassador for children rights in India.

Meanwhile Sonam Kapoor who is currently riding high after Aisha's release, tweeted about the strength of praying for the distressed. "Prayer changes things, have faith, pray for the people in leh valley."
