KPop Demon Hunters's soundtrack has been making history ever since its release.

And they’re going up, up, and up!

Kpop Demon Hunters hasn’t stopped creating a buzz ever since its release in July. And why not, it’s fun, catchy with a dash of K-Trauma (Come back soon, Jinu for the sequel, thanks). More than any of that, it’s the soundtracks that have been dominating charts.

The fierce song Golden has snatched the coveted No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. This is the ninth K-pop-related song to claim the throne, joining the superstar lineup of BTS hits like  Savage Love (Laxed – Siren Beat), Dynamite, Butter and more, plus Jungkook’s Seven and Jimin’s Like Crazy.

The voices behind the song

But here’s the real tea:  Golden is the first female K-pop-related song ever to hit No. 1. Talk about making history and breaking ceilings in style. It is performed by Ejae, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami, who bring to life the fictional K-pop girl group Huntr/x in the film.

Record-breaking rise

Released on July 4, 2025, through Republic Records as the second single from the KPop Demon Hunters soundtrack, Golden exploded onto the scene. Billboard reported 7 million US. streams from June 27 to June 30.

Starting at number 81 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and number 63 on the Canadian Hot 100 in early July, the song quickly soared into the top ten of both charts within just two weeks. By July 26, it climbed to number three in Canada, and by August 16, it hit the ultimate jackpot: No. 1 in the US.

Billboard hailed this as a triple-threat milestone. Huntr/x is the first all-women group with three or more members to top the Hot 100 since Destiny’s Child’s track back in 2001. They’re also the first fictional act to claim No. 1 since We Don’t Talk About Bruno in 2022.

More chart-topping hits

It’s not just Golden breaking records. Another hit from the soundtrack, Soda Pop has been climbing charts globally. It debuted at number 28 on the Billboard Philippines Hot 100 and peaked at number six by mid-July 2025. On the Billboard Global 200, it entered at 119 and soon cracked the top ten at number six before reaching number five by early August.

Soda Pop also made waves on Spotify and debuted at number 21 on the Billboard Hot 100 during the first week of August. Across the pond, it reached number 11 on the UK Singles Chart and climbed to number five on Australia’s ARIA Singles Chart. In Canada, it peaked at number 16, and it showed strong presence in Europe, charting at number 161 in France and rising from 57 to 28 on the German Singles Chart by early August.
