She should be enjoying the glow of new mummyhood, but this week, Kate Hudson was left shocked over allegations in her estranged father, Bill Hudson's new book, in which he claims she has done "horrible things".

Kate, who recently gave birth to her son, Bing, with fiancé, Muse frontman Matt Bellamy, has always said she sees mum Goldie's long-term partner, Kurt Russell, as her "real" dad, and has nothing to do with former musician, Bill Hudson, 61. And now it looks like she'll never forgive Bill for his public revelations, which he insists are nothing to do with money.

"Kate doesn't have to talk to me and she doesn't have to give a dime of her millions. All I want is for her to call and say, ‘Hi grandma', before it's too late," Bill said of his mother, who is dying of Alzheimer's and who he says Kate hasn't visited.

"I have called Kate and texted her dozens of times begging her to help her grandmother, but she hasn't responded to me," says Bill. Adding, "I love Kate, but I think she has been contrived and destructive with me and with her other brothers and sisters. She is a spoiled brat in my eyes... She has done stuff which is just awful."

And Bill also accuses his ex-wife Goldie, who he divorced in 1980 after four years of marriage that produced two children, Kate and her actor brother, Oliver, of creating "parental alienation", with the publisher of his book, So You Are A Star, insisting, "Life in the spotlight is not without its consequences, and the Hudson family was no exception. After their divorce, Bill found himself in the middle of parental alienation. His rights as a father to see his children were often played out in the media because Oliver and Kate became actors themselves."
